Special PVC doors

When the opening needs more than a conventional door

Tilt-and-slide and folding doors can solve wide or complex openings. They are made to measure and require careful review of dimensions, weight, hardware and operating conditions.

A tilt-and-slide door combines ventilation and sliding: the leaf moves out from the frame plane and then travels sideways. It is useful when perimeter compression sealing is wanted without the full swing space of a balcony door.

A folding door uses several articulated leaves that stack to one side to free a broad part of the opening. It works particularly well for porches and indoor-outdoor transitions when the configuration is viable.

Not every size or location can accept these openings. We check the complete assembly before quoting.

Tilt-and-slide

Ventilate first, then slide the leaf parallel to the frame. An alternative that saves space while retaining compression sealing.

Folding

Several articulated leaves stack to create a wide opening. Viability depends on leaf number, size and weight.

Check feasibility

Feasibility first, design second

System and hardware limits are decisive for these doors. We only confirm a solution after reviewing every constraint.

Overall dimensions and leaf distribution
Glass or panel weight per leaf
Stacking, manoeuvring and passage space
External exposure, threshold and frequency of use

How we assess a special door

Measure

We check the opening, levels, supports and available travel.

Calculate

We review leaf number, weights and hardware compatibility.

Specify

We select profile, glass, threshold, colour and stacking direction.

Adjust

After installation, we regulate the leaves and test every movement.
